Provident Living Circus

Man I have been working long and hard to put together a great event this coming weekend!  I should say there is an entire team that has been working hard to put it all together!  It is our Provident Living Circus on June 2nd!  I am so excited about it all.  For real!  Now I just pray for people to come.

Putting on a Provident Living Fair, Preparedness Fair, or whatever you want to call it, is always one of those things that you just never know how many people are going to show up.  You may get 30, which I am fairly sure we will have more than that, since we have just that many people or more helping with it all, or you may get 300, which is what I am hoping and praying for.

Provident Living Circus you say?  Well, I did get the idea from here, at Preparedness Mama.   I just love her stuff, ideas, and site!  Well, the idea came from her, and then I ran with it.  You see, my dilemma is always to figure out how to get young people and their families out to learn about living more providently, or preparing more for a disaster.  Add in some fun, some challenges, some games, and some sugar (treats), and voila, you will start to get them out!  Yes, we are having a Provident Living Circus!

Here are what the presenters are offering: recycling and being good stewards of our Earth, upcycling old jeans, charcoal as a fuel and resource, home made salves, the summertime classroom, everything using basic bread dough, beans as inexpensive proteins, teaching your kids about money, simplifying food storage, teach one you teach generations, working from home, and possibly even using our gps on our phones. There will be samples, demonstrations, and lots of information to learn!

We have lined up 2 different entertainments for side show type things, one is Zumba for the family, another - well that is still waiting to be confirmed, because as usual one person backs out at the last minute, so another is hopefully stepping in to fill that role.  We have  a ton of games for the kiddos, even cotton candy, snow cones and treats!  Just going to be a fantastic event!  If you live in the area, please come!

It will all be held outside in the parking lot, (weather permitting), under large gazebo tents, to give it the more circus appeal.

Share, tell others, or if you live elsewhere, then plan one!  Even if it can teach one person, one thing, then all the work is well worth every hour, every penny, and every stress that has gone into it!
Hope to see you there!
